  • 1 lb ground beef (85% lean)
  • 1/3 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 cup sliced mushrooms
  • 1 medium onion, finely sliced
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce (non-alcoholic)
  • 1 tbsp all-purpose flour (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan, egg, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until well combined. Form into four patties.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear patties for 4-5 minutes per side until browned.
  3. Remove patties and sauté mushrooms and onions in the same skillet until tender.
  4. Add beef broth and Worcestershire sauce, scraping the pan for flavor. For thicker gravy, whisk in flour.
  5. Return patties to the skillet to simmer in the gravy for 10 minutes before serving.
