  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter (cold and cubed)
  • 1/4 cup chopped pecans (optional)
  • 1 cup granulated sugar (for caramel sauce)
  • 1/4 cup water (for caramel sauce)
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream (for caramel sauce)
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter (for caramel sauce)
  • 1/4 tsp salt (for caramel sauce)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9×13 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, mix graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, granulated sugar, and cinnamon for the crust. Press into the bottom of the prepared pan.
  3. Beat softened cream cheese until smooth, then add granulated sugar and eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Pour over the crust.
  4. Toss diced apples with lemon juice, brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg, then layer over the cheesecake filling.
  5. Combine flour, brown sugar, cold butter, and pecans for the crumble topping; sprinkle over apples.
  6. Bake for about 45 minutes until set; let cool before slicing.
  7. For the caramel sauce: Heat sugar and water until dissolved; add heavy cream and butter until smooth.
