  • 1 large egg, room temperature
  • 1 Tbsp vanilla extract
  • ÂĽ tsp almond extract (optional)
  • 54 g (â…“ cup) Christmas jimmies sprinkles
  • 283 g (1ÂĽ bricks / 10 oz) full-fat cream cheese, softened
  • 184 g (13 Tbsp) salted butter, softened
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • â…› tsp salt
  • 150 g (1ÂĽ cups) powdered sugar, sifted
  • 80 ml (â…“ cup) heavy cream, very cold
  • 40 g (ÂĽ cup) Christmas sprinkles (jimmies, nonpareils, trees, etc.)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In one bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt. In another bowl, cream softened butter and granulated sugar until fluffy.
  3. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract. Gradually add dry ingredients until just combined.
  4. Fold in colorful holiday sprinkles and scoop dough onto prepared sheets.
  5. Slightly flatten each ball before baking for 9–11 minutes until edges are set but tops remain soft.
  6. For frosting, beat cream cheese and butter until smooth, then mix in powdered sugar and heavy cream until fluffy.
  7. Frost cooled cookies and top with additional sprinkles.
