  • 4 beef chops
  • Salt & pepper (to taste)
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons butter (divided)
  • 1/2 medium onion (chopped)
  • 1/3 cup chicken broth
  • 1 (10.5 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • Chopped parsley (optional)

Instructions

  1. Take the beef chops out of the fridge 15-30 minutes before cooking for even cooking. Season generously with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  2. In a skillet over medium-high heat, add olive oil and 1 tablespoon of butter. Sear beef chops for 3-5 minutes per side until golden brown. Transfer to a plate.
  3. Lower heat to medium and add remaining butter and chopped onions to the same skillet. Sauté for 5-7 minutes until softened.
  4. Add chicken broth and condensed cream of mushroom soup; stir until smooth.
  5. Return seared beef chops to the skillet and simmer on medium-low for another 3-5 minutes until heated through.
  6. Adjust seasoning as needed, garnish with parsley if desired, and serve immediately.
