  • 1 tbsp All-Purpose Flour (for topping)
  • 1/4 cup Light Corn Syrup
  • 1 Large Egg (slightly whisked, for topping)
  • 1/4 cup Unsalted Butter (for topping)
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract (for topping)
  • 1/2 cup Chopped Pecans
  • 1 tbsp Sea Salt Flakes (sprinkled on before baking)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare an 8-inch square baking pan with flour-based spray.
  2. Whisk together all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, salt, baking powder, and espresso powder in one bowl.
  3. In another bowl, blend unsalted butter, vegetable oil, granulated sugar, eggs, and vanilla until creamy.
  4. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
